The Misery Brothers (1995)

In an ill-fated attempt to make a movie in the vein of Airplane! (1980) and all the other laugh-a-second comedies, director Lorenzo Doumani gave us The Misery Brothers (1995). The movie tries to spoof many courtroom dramas and classic films, including OJ Simpson’s trial and The Blues Brothers (1980). It’s about two brothers who were kept away from their father at birth, and when they reunite with him, he dies of a heart attack. They’re set to inherit a large sum of money if they can stay out of jail. Too bad they get framed for murder by a wicked minister. Representing them in court is Tool Time babe Debbe Dunning, who shows up to their court date in a Jessica Rabbit uniform. She uses her bust to her advantage, making a show of it as much as possible. It’s the only saving grace to this pile of misery.
