Seemingly out of nowhere, we were all granted a follow-up series to the iconic HBO sex comedy that changed the game: Sex and the City. Without the open and graphic sex lives of four female friends in their 30s and 40s, we would not have gotten the female-centric sex comedies that came later like Girls and Insecure.
Sex and the City came first and it shocked living rooms across the country with its frank discussions of female pleasure. The new series follows up with our favorite characters about 20 years later in And Just Like That..., so let's see where these ladies have gone nude.
We all know that Kim Cattrall is not in the new series which is a huge bummer for fans of kin considering her character was such a sex kitten. Kim does not get along with Sarah Jessica Parker and they've had a long-standing feud that allegedly stemmed from money. Whatever the reason is, Kim is written off in the new series as "being in London". At least they didn't kill her on a Peloton!
As the sex-obsessed Samantha Jones, Kim got naked on multiple occasions for sex scenes in the original series that showed off everything. Everyone was talking about Samantha and her frankness towards all things sex!
She was always the sexually wild one. She hooked up with older men, younger men, women, kinky men, and more. Remember when she rode a sex swing? I do:
Cynthia Nixon readily took her mams out after her character Miranda gave birth, but she also had some passionate sex scenes that exposed some skin. Thank goodness. This sarcastic, intelligent redhead had audiences dying to see more. The workaholic lawyer deserved a little more sexual relief in the series.
Surprisingly, Cynthia Nixon showed off her cans more in the Showtime series The Big C which aired from 2010 to 2012. It seems like she had the Big O on that show!
As the sweet and romantic brunette Charlotte, Kristin Davis also got raunchy. Her character went from trying to marry up and being very disappointed by her wealthy hubby's inability to get it up to converting to Judaism in order to marry her bald real estate agent. She was much happier with the latter, but we saw her breasts when she made love to the former. Kristin was always a fan favorite for an obvious reason: she's gorgeous.
The only one who did not go nude on the show was Carrie, our leading lady played by Sarah Jessica Parker. Sarah has actually never gone nude. She did kiss Alanis Morissette in an episode of Sex and the City where she played spin the bottle during a sexually liberated party (where the judgemental Carrie did not quite belong), but she mostly stayed straight and in her underwear throughout the series. At least she looked tasty when she ate takeout in her bra.
To be totally honest, the most revealing look at SJP's body is probably in the family-friendly Halloween film Hocus Pocus in which her cleavage looks like it is bursting out of her old-timey witch's corset. That is one bewitching bosom!
And Just Like That... doesn't have any nudity in it, but it's still a fun watch if you're a fan of the original series. Is it silly? Sure, but the show was always silly. Even if the leading ladies barely show skin, they've definitely still got sex appeal!
