Predmestje (2004)

Based on the novel of the same name, the Slovenian drama Predmestje (2004) aka Suburbs stars Renato Jencek as Marjan, a distraught dude trying to deal with the recent death of his wife. With his fragile state of mind, Marjan gets through life by spending his evenings with his middle-aged buddies at the local bowling alley, pondering their lives in a humorously dark manner. It seems as though each of the group is living a squandered existence rank with unrealized hopes and dreams. But there is a bright spot in their lives—Nebojsa (Tadej Tos) and Jasmina (Maja Lesnik), a young couple of foreign nationality with a robust sex life moves next door to Marjan, given him and his buddies something to obsess over. You’ll be obsessing over Maja Lesnik when you get an eyeful of her fully nude body as her and her boyfriend get frisky and head outside in the buff. With a neighbor like this, Mr. Skin would never leave the house!
