An insurance executive resolves to give his secretary the Eliza Doolittle treatment in the French comedy Popularie (2012). In 1950's Normandy, Rose (Déborah François) rebels against her parents' expectations of marriage by moving to the city and taking a job in handsome, charismatic Mr. Echard (Romain Duris)'s office. Rose is a terrible secretary in almost every way, but when he discovers that she can type at an extraordinary speed, Echard decides to take the young woman under his wing and train her to be the fastest typist in France.
