On the Rocks (2020) is a father-daughter story written and directed by Sofia Coppola which would likely make her daddy proud. Rashida Jones plays a young mom named Laura who reconnects with her dad played by Bill Murray. Bill Murray isn't your typical dad. He's a single, wealthy playboy who loves adventure and has a cool lust for life. He's the kind of guy that everyone loves. When his daughter appears to be struggling in her marriage with her busy husband who goes on a lot of business trips, the pair have an adventurous night through New York City to follow her hubby and figure out what is really going on. Her dad is convinced that his son-in-law is having an affair which he sees as a huge affront to his daughter - good! he's a good dad - but obviously, she hopes that is not true.
