Based on the plays of Miguel Mihura, the acclaimed Spanish comedy Ninette (2005) stars Elsa Pataky as the title character, the free-spirited daughter of an Republican politician in exile in Paris. Soon Ninettte starts an affair with a seller of religious icons who's in Paris on vacation but must soon return to fascist Spain.
