Maggie Moore(s) (2023)

Jon Hamm and Ted Lasso’s Nick Mohammed are a sheriff and his deputy, respectively, investigating the murders of two women who happen to both be named Maggie Moore. The first Maggie Moore (Louisa Krause) finds child porn her husband Jay (Micah Stock) had in order to pay off a creep who was helping supply his sub franchise with cheaper, non-franchise food so he hires a deaf thug (Happy Anderson) to kill her. Jay then comes up with a plan to have him kill the second Maggie Moore (Mary Holland) to throw the cops off his trail. At one point he meets up with his paid assassin at a strip club full of topless, pole-dancing babes, where a be-thonged Gabriela Alicia Ortega interrupts their whispered convo to ask for a light. There’s also a scene where Jon Hamm and Tina Fey attempt to have sex but can’t because he’s still thinking about his dead wife, though Tina sadly stays dressed. The film may have filled the quota on Maggie Moores, but it could definitely use some more skin!
