Love Paradox (2000)

Sort of like an Asian adaptation of Cameron Crowe’s Singles (1992), Love Paradox (2000) features a host of young lovers, none of whom end up precisely where they want to be. Lovely dancer Yip Sau-wan is about to be married to her lover Denver when she discovers that he’s still in contact with a former flame name Michelle. The wedding is cancelled in short order, so Yip (quite perturbed) sends a nasty email to Michelle, but Michelle turns out to be a Michael! Meanwhile, Yip’s best friend, Fong, is dealing with boyfriend troubles of her own. Her man, Yan, is obsessed with his new neighbor Sean . . . and let’s just say none of these young lovers are too familiar with the word monogamy. As Sean, Perry Chiu Woon delivers only the merest moments of nakedness late in the film.
