In this sitcom retread of the classic rags meets riches love story, the penthouse-dwelling Conklins, a family of snobby socialites, receive a rude surprise. It seems the McBride family, who provide the building maintenance and live in the basement, have a good-looking son. When this blue collar lad falls in love with the Conklin’s heiress daughter, the families find themselves unhappily linked. Although it had a reasonably strong cast with David Ogden Stiers and Swoosie Kurtz, the premise wasn’t all that original or intriguing, and the show lasted less than half a season bore that fact came out. It did, however, feature Paget “Don’t call me Punky” Brewster. This fine-looking, dark haired beauty with a smile that could make Julia Roberts’ dentist see dollar signs had a sexy lesbian kiss and gave us a glimpse of a slinky black bra through her unbuttoned shirt on Andy Richter Controls the Universe. Meanwhile, her co-star Judy Greer gave us a skinfully delicious view of her incredibly perky milk saucers in What Planet are You From?. Too bad Garry Shandling had to have his face in the frame and nearly ruin the whole goddamn scene for us!
