Los Bingueros (1979)

Spanish exploitation veteran Mariano Ozores found such unexpected success with his low-budget smash-hit comedy Los Bingueros (1979) that he remade the film a decade later. No matter, the original’s the best--a lewd, topsy-turvy comedy so popular that it out-grossed the first Star Wars movie during its opening weekend. Andrés Pajares and Fernando Esteso star as feverish gamblers who get caught up in the bingo trend that’s sweeping their nation. Brushing aside ethics, the pair concocts a crooked get-rich-quick scheme that unexpectedly backfires. The bingo players have better luck with their curvy Latina lovers, played by unclothed beauties Norma Duval, Isabel Luque, and África Pratt.
