The Spanish war romance Guernica (2016) is set during the 1937 bombing that occurred in the titular Spanish town. American journalist Henry (James D'Arcy) is in the city to cover the raging Spanish Civil War when he meets Teresa (María Valverde), a woman working at the censor board for the Spanish government. While she must do everything in her power to censor and suppress his work, she must also fight a losing battle against his amorous advances, which begin to change her heart! Of course, all of this goes straight to hell when the city is bombed and the two lovers, separated on other sides of the city by a physical barrier, will risk everything to be together! The film has all the flair of a Hemingway war epic, though it is actually loosely based on a true story involving South African-born British journalist George Steer. Look up his story, it's fascinating! While all of this war-time romance might lead you to believe that there's nudity in the film's only love scene, you'd be wrong. Unfortunately they adopt the age old pan over to the curtains with a breeze blowing in as the lovers start to get busy! However, María Valverde does indeed show off her boobs and buns in the flick, just not under the sexiest of circumstances! An hour and eighteen minutes in, she is captured and stripped nude before being hosed off! She does an admirable job of keeping her bush covered, but her boobs and butt fly into frame several times!
