Empire of Lust (2015)

Empire of Lust (2015) is a South Korean romantic action and adventure film that stars Shin Ha-kyun as a general who protects the borders of the Joseon dynasty in feudal Korea. He suspects a young nobleman, who happens to be the king's son-in-law, wants to overthrow the ruler and gain the throne for himself. As he is attempting to protect the throne from afar, he falls in love for the first time in his life with a courtesan (known as a gisaeng, essentially a Korean geisha who is trained to be an entertainer as well as a woman who gives sexual services) named Ka-hee. He falls for her and takes her as a lover, but has no idea that she has motives of her own. Everyone is vying for the throne in this movie that is filled with action and lust.
