Review

Safety is an elusive commodity. Any two experts on survival strategies will hold opinions that conflict and may be outright opposite. Some risk assessors assert that the chance of befalling catastrophe is greater outdoors, while others point out that many deaths occur in the home, but all will agree that an attractive young woman's odds for making it through life without being fried to a crisp are better if she remains outside the vicinity of a homicidal maniac and his chick-crisping flamethrower. All of which is to say that Don't Go in the House (1980) is a movie with a misleading title. It's not the domicile that fires the girls up; it's the kook with an appetite for hot buns and spontaneous combustion.
