Review

The White Rose resistance refers to a group of Munich university students who opposed the rise of the Nazis and as a result of their beliefs were executed by the state in 1943. The students initially worked underground through a network of newsletter readers throughout the student body. Although most students were reluctant to get involved due to fear, the movement slowly gained popularity. They succeeded in starting a riot, which is what made the Gestapo shine their searchlights on them and hunt them all down to preserve their rise to power.

Anja Kruse plays Traut Lafrenz and is out on a picnic blanket in her underwear before taking her bra off to deliver the goods. And Lena Stolze plays the main character, Sophie Scholl, who also gets down to her bra, but never goes further than that. Still a great sight, nonetheless. Something else rose a little while watching Die Weisse Rose (1982).
