Where would we be without cam girls? These unsung heroes of the internet community show off their bodies for our enjoyment and frankly, they just don't get the credit they deserve for the service they provide. The UK flick Cam Girls (2021) sets out to shine a light on these under-appreciated sex workers during the time of COVID-19. Friends Jenna (Abi Casson Thompson), Kelly (Barbara Dabson), and Ness (Stephanie Lodge) find themselves wasting away in lockdown with no way of making ends meet. Naturally, they decide to dip their toes into the world of camming, find that it's an excellent way to make money, particularly when you can't leave your home. The deeper they dive into that world, however, the more they find the darker corners of it, each of them daring themselves to go further than their friends in a quest to make increasing sums of money. As the restrictions begin to loosen around COVID-19 lockdown, however, they must now decide if this was a passing fad to make money or if they're willing to take the plunge and find new avenues in which to make money, ones that could potentially put them in harms way. Perhaps the most disappointing thing about Cam Girls is that Abi Casson Thompson is the only one of the three lead actresses who goes topless! Stephanie Lodge and Barbara Dabson show off in some sexy undies, but never go the full monty. Thankfully Sophia Rose Dietrich and Arabella Mayer are on hand to bare their breasts as well, meaning these Cam Girls aren't gonna leave you empty handed... if you catch our drift!
