In a surprise move, HBO has canceled Westworld before what was supposed to be its fifth and final season. The sci-fi series’ first season was one of the most watched debuts of an HBO original show ever and in true HBO hour-long drama fashion, it contained some stellar nudity from its stunning cast, including Tessa Thompson and Evan Rachel Wood.
The futuristic premise about an Western-themed adult park populated with human-looking robotic “hosts” built to serve the guests in any and all possible ways was the perfect set up for showing skin, especially once it was established that maintenance on the hosts meant the androids were completely stripped of their clothes. Every upgrade they got meant you got something up as well!

As the story branched out and the world building grew, the nudity sadly fell more to the wayside, which may or may not be related to its drop in viewership. Who knows, maybe more nakedness would’ve reduced the costume budget enough to make a fifth season financially doable? However you slice it, it’s too bad fans won’t get the nice wrap up they deserve. The show will be surely be missed - there’s a reason it won our Best TV Show Anatomy Award for 2017!
