This sexy German babe was born in 1906 in Berlin where she became an actress early in life. She starred in 1927's Fritz Lang epic Metropolis which is still one of the most famous silent films ever made. Not only that, but her image as The Machine Man (the robot itself!) is absolutely iconic. Before she donned that metal suit, however, she has way fewer clothes on. In one scene, she puts on a show wearing sparkly pasties and a see-through skirt that showed her underwear. Salacious for the 1920s!This scene featured her skintillating dance that made the audience of men salivate.

Brigitte had starring roles in several more movies and was even considered to play the Bride in Bride of Frankenstein, but her interest in acting was soon coming to an end.She retired in 1936 after making more than thirty films. Allegedly, the Nazi takeover had something to do with her retirement because she was absolutely disgusted it all.Helm was justifiably angrybecause she wasin trouble for marrying her Jewish husband and was briefly jailed for some traffic accidents. Luckily, those charges were dropped and she moved to Switzerland.

Brigitte became rather reclusive after going to Switzerland. She lived a relatively normal life with her husband and children and refused to grant interviews. This quiet actress lived to be 90 years old before passing away in her chosen Swiss home, but she left behind one of the most infamous movie images of all time and one super skintastic scene. #TBT to Brigitte!
