Today I want to talk about the beautiful popstar Shakira. Shakira is about to be honored with a really cool award at this year's MTV Video Music Awards. She is going to receive their Video Vanguard Award which serves as a bit of a Lifetime Achievement Award for those who have been making great music videos for some time now. That certainly is Shakira!
The The Voice judge is a true modern diva. From her 2020 Super Bowl Halftime performance with Jennifer Lopez to her tour documentary and many hit albums, Shakira is an undeniable star. She deserves this award and many more!
Shakira has been around now for a few decades. The singer comes to us from Colombia and is of Lebanese descent. She had been making music in Latin America long before she hit it big in America. Her songs started hitting American radio stations in the early 2000s after she released her hit album Laundry Service with the song "Whenever, Wherever". Thenher 2005 duet with Wyclef Jean really put her on the map with "Hips Don't Lie". That video was hot, but it was not the hottest video that Señorita Shakira has ever done. So let's check out her other super sexy videos.
Her hips also did not lie in the video for Beautiful Liar which she did with Beyonce. This 2007 duet showed both of the stars in belly shirts and low-rise jeans as they each showed off some hip-shaking, belly-dancing skills. Shakira is a trained belly dancer and Beyonce is, well, super sexy. The two of them together were a match made in bootylicious heaven.
In 2013, she worked with Rihanna to duet on the music video for "Can't Remember to Forget You". In this video, the pair touch each other while being scantily clad in lingerie. They roll around in bed together, showing off their legs and cleavages as they get up close and personal together.
There were a lot of hot moments in this video, including one shot of Shakira rising out of the ocean with hair covering her breasts like a sexy South American mermaid. She looks gorgeous and this tantalizing look at her cleavage gets everyone wet.
My absolute favorite video of Shakira's is certainly She Wolf. This 2009 video went the extra mile because Shakira pole-danced in nude-colored lingerie that made it look like the Latina hottie was naked. That certainly got poles hard!
This video is SO sexy because Shakira proves that she is more than just a belly dancer - she is a pole dancer as well. Shakira could definitely have another career as a stripper based on these moves. She is seductive, powerful, and gorgeous as the wild-haired beauty pops her ass up in the air and swings her thighs around the pole. It really helps that she looks practically nude!
As you can see, Shakira deserves a music video award. She deserves a Video Vanguard and a Video Vixen award because these videos are HOT.
