Born in Saitama, Japan in 1973 as Yumiko Satô, the gorgeous Ryô is a crossover Japanese sensation who has enjoyed success both in Japan and Hollywood! Ryô's acting career began when she was in her early 20s, first appearing in the Japanese miniseries Long Vacation (1996), which is sadly not a Japanese adaptation of National Lampoon's Vacation franchise. She spent the 90s bouncing between the boob tube and the big screen, making a particularly big splash in the evil twin horror flick Gemini (1999)! Here she did the closest scenes to a nude scene she's ever done on screen, going nude three times, but keeping her back to the camera the entire time all three times! It is a bit disappointing, especially considering that was over 20 years ago and we're starting to think the day may never come when Ryô will get a script that not only requires nudity, but that she couldn't possibly turn down if she tried! Again, that day may never come, but we're hopeful that one day, the Japanese equivalent of a FedEx truck will turn down Ryô's street, stop outside her door, and the driver will hand her a package containing a script for Gemini 2: Naked Boogaloo, and she'll think to herself, "at long last, the script that will get me to go nude!" She may even exclaim it out loud to no one in particular. Again, this is all very unlikely to ever happen, but you've got to keep hope alive! Especially the hope for one day seeing Ryô naked!
