Je Suis Karl comes to us from Germany and aired on Netflix recently. The plot follows a young woman named Maxi who unfortunately experiences a terrorist attack. The bombing sadly kills multiple people in her own family. She tries to grieve this loss and move on with her life, so she goes back to college where she starts hooking up with a man named Karl.
They start hooking up and it turns out that this guy is part of a political youth movement. Maxi gets involved as well, but she is blind to the fact that this organization is, in fact, a terrorist group Surprise! The major bummer is that they were responsible for the attack that killed her own family. Dun dun DUN. Who couldn't see that coming?
Well, Maxi, that's who. The drama centers on the fact that her blinders are clearly on and she needs to wake up to figure out what is happening and what she should do. Should she confront her new lover? Should she talk to the group and let them know the ways in which their actions have consequences? You will have to watch it to find out!
Luna Wedler is our star, playing Maxi. You will definitely be sympathetic towards her and willing to follow her through straight and lesbian scenes. That is because she is the bomb - er, sorry, I meant to say that she is gorgeous and sexy. Sorry about the faux pas there.
