The two of them have sex, then she rides him while reading, and then the pair lounge nude in separate armchairs and seductively talk to one another. It's hot. It's intellectual. It's one of the sexiest scenes of 2023. But Pugh has some insider information on our favorite scene!
Florence Pugh opened up recently about some behind-the-scenes things that occurred. Remember when the film came out the strikes were going on, so actors were not able to fully promote the film. As a result, we're getting juicy details during their Oscar campaign!
What went on during the making of Oppenheimer? A lot of hot things! For example, the camera broke while they were filming their sex scene. This happened in the middle of the shoot - when they were naked! As she said, “Our camera broke when we were both naked, and it was not ideal timing." What a British way of putting it.
Since they had a limited number of cameras for this particular shoot, they had to repair it. That means that everyone had to wait - in the nude - for the camera situation to be fixed in order to resume the sweaty sex scene. Talk about killing the mood!
Our girl Flo doesn't sound like she was too bothered by the inconvenience. Florence said she used the opportunity to chat with the crew about what was happening on set so that she could understand the cameras better. Don't we just love Florence? In the middle of shooting a sex scene, she wants to learn more about the technical side of movie-making before getting back in the sack! What a woman!
When asked about filming these scenes with the gorgeous Florence Pugh, Cillian was demure. He said, "Listen, no one likes doing them - they're the most awkward possible part of our job. Will Oppenheimer take home Best Picture? I have a good feeling. At the very least Cillian, Florence, and actress Emily Blunt all deserve a lot of praise for their work in this masterpiece.
