Model and actress Emily Ratajkowski looks PERFECT. In fact, she looks so perfect that you might not even believe that she is a real person. With her huge boobs, tiny waist, tan skin, pouty lips, fuck-me eyes, and hips Emily looks like she was made in a lab. She looks like a mannequin. Well, she knows that and that's what she writes about in her new book.
Emily's book My Body is very revealing! If you're only used to staring at Emily - and who doesn't do that? - then you might be surprised to learn how much is kicking around in that head of hers. In her book, she offers a lot of interesting thoughts on her modeling career and she called herself a mannequin and a prop at times. She clearly has some conflicting feelings when it comes to the way she makes her living.
That being said, she has no plans of stopping anytime soon. Even though she says that she often feels like a prop in photo shoots and videos, she also intends to keep using her body to make people pay attention to the things that she wants to say. That's a great idea, Em!
The book was released in November, but I'm only getting to it now and it is really fascinating. It's particularly skinteresting to hear what her thoughts are on female empowerment and objectification. I know, huge words and big theories. Basically, she doesn't have answers, but she ruminates on the struggle between the two over and over. At times she feels empowered, and at other times she doesn't. When does she feel empowered? When she has control of Her Body!
Emily specifically writes that the Blurred Lines music video that made her famous was a struggle for her. She said that she was simply a prop in the video, but I heartily disagree. She commands all of the attention. Her disinterested gaze and her hot body had everyone wondering: who is she and what is she thinking? That's why she became such a star! She's hardly a prop. She was a sexy enigma.
Emily is definitely one of the most beautiful models working today, but after hearing her thoughts on her profession in her book I also would add "thinker" to her list of professions. She is one thoughtful woman and I hope that this is not the last we see of her written work. In the meantime, I'll satisfy my cravings for Em Rata by staring at her body:
