Did you know that a Coppola is directing a Pamela Anderson movie? It's true! Gia Coppola has directed Pamela Anderson in the film The Last Showgirl. The film has already finished and it premiered at the Cannes Film Festival this past week.
Pamela Anderson plays a career showgirl in Las Vegas who is looking for a new chapter of her life after the club that she's been performing in for closes. What is a hottie with a rockstar body like Pamela going to do next? That's what we can't wait to find out in this film that sounds sexy from the logline alone. Will there be nudity? It seems likely, but we don't have confirmation quite yet.
Directed by Gia Coppola and written by Kate Gersten who was a UCLA graduate who has since written for The Good Place and Mozart in the Jungle. This is her first feature film script and it looks like it is bound to be a good one. She hasn't really written much nudity in the past, but a showgirl feature sounds very promising.
And just who is Gia Coppola? She's the daughter of Gian-Carlo Coppola who died in an accident when she was young. That makes Francis Ford Coppola her granddaddy and Sofia her auntie. Nicolas Cage and Jason Schwartzman are also her cousins. What a family, am I right? There's too much talent in one family to know what to do with! What's more insane is that unlike other nepo babies, every Coppola seems to be as good and worthy of the name as their patriarch.
The Last Showgirl also stars nudity scream queen Jamie Lee Curtis who has made us all cream our jeans in the past. The Oscar winner now keeps her clothes on, but she always delivers a fantastic performance when she is in front of the camera.
Kiernan Shipka also stars who was Sabrina Spellman in the Netflix show The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina. She hasn't gone nude yet, but I hope one day she gives us some Thrilling Adventures when she takes it all off. Honestly, Kiernan could follow in Pamela's footsteps. They look somewhat alike, so Kiernan could even play Pamela in a biopic (although it seems like Sydney Sweeney is the obvious choice for that kind of project).
Whether or not those babes - and costar Brenda Song - go nude is not known, but we do know that blonde bombshell Pamela Anderson is always down to show off her body. She's made quite an impressive comeback these days which I find inspiring. I look forward to the potential of skinspiring nudity from our beloved babe.
Let's hope that we all get to see the film sooner rather than later. So many distribution companies have bought the rights to the film all around the world, so it sounds like it is going to be a highly anticipated success.
