Remember European Vacation (1985), the sequel to the wildly popular National Lampoon’s Vacation (1983) film? Of course you do. Now, if you’re anything like me, you took away one thing from that film: “Rusty” made out with a hot German babe who showed him her tits. Billed as a PG-13 family comedy, it's not surprising many people say these were the first boobs they ever saw on screen, or that they suddenly wanted to skip the trip to Disney World and head to an obscure German farm town. What a pair! What a start! Yes, while Anthony Michael Hall got to go to Walley World, "America's Favorite Family Fun Park", his replacement got to have some fun parking his eyes on a pair of Bavarian bombs. It's a slow reveal, with Claudia unbuttoning her top while Clark Griswald's son chuckles like a moron in an incredibly goofy hat. But while he may not have embodied the stoic machismo we'd like Americans to embody overseas, it's tough to blame him. That beautiful blonde's body would have us looking all kinds of dumb too. A rusty nail gets you tetanus, but Jason Lively as Rusty gets all sorts of hot tit and ass! Believe it or not, they actually used a real German for that part, and her name is Claudia Neidig. Unfortunately for us, Claudia has never done an encore performance of her breast-revealing second-and-a-half in the spotlight, but she has enjoyed quite the successful career in German television, appearing on such series as Unter uns, and Ein Bayer auf Rugen. Alf’s Weiner’s shaved! Why did Claudia remain a foreign entitty, rather than capitalize on her Hollywood success. Now living in Bonn Germany with her son Claudius, and still working as both an actress and a talent agent, we'll always wonder what would have been. Still, in terms of young mind bending toplessness, her role in European Vacation will be tough to top. We dig the bigs on Neidig!
