You loved X. You loved Pearl. So are you ready to love the third film in Ti West's horror trilogy? A24 has announced MaXXXine to wrap up the series (or so we think!) and the cast is VERY star-studded. Not only are actresses announced in MaXXXine critically acclaimed, but they have all delivered some seriously sexy nude scenes. Check out the cast!
X and Pearl were huge surprise hits. They were not surprises to Mr. Skin who knows that sex sells, so setting the first film in the world of 1970s underground adult filmmaking was a no-brainer. Plus both films starred the sexy Mia Goth! X was the first film and within the same year its follow-up Pearl was released with sought to tell Mia Goth's character's backstory. Both films were fan favorites that had people talking about Mia's talent...and her TA.
Joining star Mia Goth are Elizabeth Debicki,Michelle Monaghan, Lily Collins, and singer Halsey. What. A. Cast. I am thrilled to see this star-studded cast. Those are all stellar actresses who have ALL gone nude. It's clear that they are all comfortable with nude scenes and that may have even been a requirement to work on the adult-themed MaXXXine. Let's see which of those babes go nude in this film. My money is on all of them!
MaXXXine is going to begin filming in April 2023, so we do have to wait at least a year to actually see this trilogy come together. That gives us all plenty of time to review the other two films and remember that major stars like Brittany Snow and Jenna Ortega came out of X. Jenna has blasted into superstardom, so it appears that starring in an adult-themed movie does help an actress' career.
This cast is rounded out by men like Giancarlo Esposito, Kevin Bacon, Bobby Cannavale, and Moses Sumney. WOW. Even the men starring in this movie are bringing gravitas to the production. Much like X, MaXXXine deals with "the dangerous world of underground filmmaking" and promises more sexy nude scenes as it explores adult filmmaking. Debicki is even going to play a female film director in this seedy underbelly world!
Female directors directing porn? We saw it in The Deuce, so we are primed and ready to see more of it. Anything that leads to more hot scenes like this is fine by me:
Monaghan is slated to play an LAPD investigator alongside Cannavale and Bacon. The other actress' roles are not yet fully known, but I am sure that that information (and hopefully some production stills) will get leaked to the public over the next year.
Mia Goth returns and I have no doubt that she will continue her string of unbelievable nudity. She limited herself to only one nude scene in Pearl, but that was the origin story of her character. MaXXXine is picking up where X left off, so I am very hopeful for daring nude scenes that threaten MaXXXine with an X rating!
