Because Of Course She Did
None of us needed another reason to go see Atomic Blondewhen it comes out. What else do you need besides Charlize Theron kicking ass (and getting nude, of course), but apparently she really loved making out with Sofia Boutella. I have a strong feeling that’s going come across really well in the film.
Now, I could go on and on with my thoughts and feelings about Charlize Theron and Sofia Boutella making out, but I think Charlize said it the best in a recent interview with Variety:
“I just loved it,” Theron tells Variety in this week’s cover story. “For so many reasons: My frustration of how that community is represented in cinema, or lack thereof. And also, it made perfect sense. It just suited her. It just felt there was a way through that relationship and the fact that it was a same-sex relationship to show a woman not having to fall in love, which is one of those female tropes. ‘It’s a woman; she better fall in love — otherwise, she’s a whore!’”
Thankfully we won’t have to wait much longer to see the love affair between two of the hottest celebrities on the planet play out on the big screen. Atomic Blonde is set to hit theaters all over the country on July 28th.
