Wintertide (2023)

This low budget horror takes place in a northern Canadian town close to the province of Manitoba, where the endless dark days of winter have sparked a plague that has people’s seasonal depression turning them into zombies. Here we find Beth (Niamh Carolan), who not only hasn’t seen the sun in 90+ days, but who’s father is missing also. She works as a volunteer who looks for these sad zombies (or “strays” as they are called) and brings them to mental institution of sorts for care. They aren’t really that dangerous, though some can get a bit aggressive. There is a medicine that supposedly keeps you safe from the plague but Beth doesn’t seem to need it, for when she dreams at night, she seemingly enters another dimension that she comes to believe is her salvation from the darkness. You aren’t dreaming - there’s definitely boobage abound here, first in Niamh’s reflection as she takes a shower, then in a sexy sapphic dream she has about a naked Colleen Furlan. Plus Laura Mitchell and her mams glide past the screen at about twenty four minutes in. Winter may be cold but these topless hotties are sure to keep you warm!
