Will Trent (2023-)

Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations, (the main character of a series of books by Karin Slaughter now adapted for television and played by Ramón Rodríguez) is very unpopular with the Atlanta PD since he blew the lid off a major police corruption scandal, but his amazing observational skills and deductive reasoning make him the best at what he does. So he deals with the ire of his fellow crime solvers like Detective Faith Mitchell (Iantha Richardson) while assigned to some gruesome scenes by his boss (The Wire’s Sonja Sohn). All the while undercover vice detective Angie Polaski (Erika Christensen) battles addiction while trying to take down drug dealers. She and Will have a shared past that creeps into their present when she straddles him on a couch and takes her top off while they make out in episode one. He’s not the only one inspecting Erika’s copious cleavage!
