Remember that hot naked babe from the first season of Bridgerton? Phoebe Dynevor? What happened to her? Well, I have good news. She is back and she looks sexier than ever in the trailer for her upcoming project which promises to be an erotic thriller for Netflix. Check out Phoebe in Fair Play.
The film follows a couple that works at a financial firm together and begins to turn on one another when the promise of a major promotion is dangled in front of them. The supportive and kind lovers turn into bitter rivals when the couple's power dynamics completely shift as ambition, money, and power become a prize that they can attain - but only individually. It is an interesting and uncomfortable look at the ways in which power dynamics can change in a workplace-based relationship.
The film is a debut from filmmaker Chloe Domont who wrote and directed the highly anticipated movie. She began her career directing TV episodes, including some episodes of Ballers. That means she is a ballsy director, so this film feels promising. It stars a lot of actors we have seen before such as Rich Sommer, Sebastian de Souza, Eddie Marsan, and newcomer Alden Ehrenreich who became a breakout success after Oppenheimer. That is a power house of great actors!
The film doesn't star many women, but that's partially on purpose. The financial firm is meant to be male-dominated which makes the power shifts more palpable as the men do not believe Phoebe's character deserves the promotion. They feel uncomfortable about her making more money than them and about her ball-busting in the office. I hope she does some real ball-busting in hot nude scenes!
That makes me wonder: will Phoebe's character go nude in order to ensure that promotion? Will sex and nudity get her on top? The film is being marketed as a "sexy thriller" which makes me think we will get at least one seduction scene - if not a sex scene! The trailer alone begins with the pair making out in a bathroom with Phoebe wearing a slinky slip that looks easy to take off.
Then the pair is naked on the floor! A blanket covers them, but that may just be for the trailer. There is also a small snippet of a stripper with her legs in the air in the trailer.
I think that if Phoebe doesn't go nude, someone else certainly will. Although I wouldn't put it past Phoebe. She was wonderful at going nude in Bridgerton. Her skintastic scenes put her on the map.
This looks like a very interesting - and potentially skinteresting - film. I am very hopeful for sex and nudity featuring Phoebe and possibly a few others. We will all find out in a few days. The film will be released in theaters in just two days and will go on to stream on Netflix starting October 6.
