The Republic of Sarah (2021)

The Republic of Sarah is a drama series that debuted on The CW in the summer of 2021, created by Elementary producer Jeffrey Paul King. Set in the small mining town of Greylock, New Hampshire, the series focuses on the discovery of an ultra-rare precious metal called coltan which is discovered in abundance within the town limits. Sarah Cooper (Stella Baker) is a maverick teacher down at the local high school who manages to convince the town that if a wealthy mining conglomerate sweeps into town to extract the metal, it is essentially going to destroy the town and wipe it off the map. In a bid to maintain control over their town's destiny, the locals decide to make a bid to have their town declared an independent republic, free from the constraints of the government and able to make decisions about its destiny without corporate interests involved. Of course they don't actually expect to succeed, but rather shine a national spotlight on their plight, which makes it all the more shocking when the government agrees, allowing them to become their own independent republic. Now they've got an entirely new set of problems on their hands as the townsfolk must now organize a government and do all the things that come along with seceding. Being a CW network show, don't go in expecting much in the way of skin. There is, however, a super sexy scene in episode four when series regulars Nia Holloway and Nicola Correia Damude show off plenty of cleavage in their bras while getting dressed in an office!
