We are well into 2023 and we are only beginning to see the most anticipated films of the year. The second half of this year is going to be fantastic and hopefully skintastic with all of these films that seem really promising when it comes to potential nudity.
BARBIE and OPPENHEIMER
These two films are the most highly anticipated films of the summer - if not the entire year. People are even planning double features to hit both very different films in one night. Barbie is going to be very funny and it might flirt with skin, but I doubt there will be explicit nudity. That being said neither actress Margot Robbie nor director Greta Gerwig seem to care about going nude. They've both done it!
Oppenheimer is going to be much more serious (and, let's face it, male-focused). Stars Emily Blunt and Florence Pugh are slated to appear and I personally hope to see at least one of those babes nude and while Florence delivers, sadly there is no scene of Emily Blunt nude.
MISSION IMPOSSIBLE DEAD RECKONING PART 1
On July 12, the latest Tom Cruise vehicle will be released in theaters. Rebecca Ferguson, Hayley Atwell, Pom Klementieff, and Vanessa Kirby all star in the highly anticipated action film. That is a HOT cast of babes. If no one is going to go nude, then let's at least see some skin-tight outfits and bikinis!
THE LAST VOYAGE OF DEMETER
This film sounds very interesting! This horror film is sort of an origin story for Dracula with the ship Demeter being the one that brought coffins to England in the original novel. Aisling Franciosi stars and in general vampire and gothic films are very promising when it comes to skin! Will Aisling make her nude debut? I hope so!
CHALLENGERS
I have already talked about Challengers, but it is worth mentioning again. This film stars Zendaya and is bound to feature sex - and potentially a threesome! This is the story of a tennis star who flirts and sleeps with one pair of male best friends and then later marries the other one. It's a love triangle film by Luca Guadagnino who does not shy away from sex scenes. This film will be released on September 15.
THE HOLDOVERS
Did you love 2004's Sideways? Then you might enjoy The Holdovers which brings Alexander Payne and Paul Giamatti back together again. This comedy will take place in New England during the 1970s in which Paul plays a prep school teacher with nowhere to go during winter break. Da'Vine Joy Randolph is going to star for some hopeful cleavage. I'm hopeful in general because Sideways was a ton of fun and featured memorable skin!
DUNE: PART TWO
Here's another potential promise of Zendaya boob! November 3 delivers us the second part of the epic adaptation of Dune. Not only will Zendaya return (and the second half of the story delves into her love story), but Lea Seydoux will star as Lady Margot and Florence Pugh will play Princess Irulan. Dune fans know to be excited!
THE KILLER
David Fincher's next film is being kept mysterious when it comes to plot. The title and Fincher's legacy make me wonder if this will be another exciting thriller ala Zodiac or Se7en. Kerry O'Malley and Tilda Swinton star in Fincher's follow-up to the Oscar-winning 2020 film Mank. I trust the man and I am hoping for a good film with good nudity!
LEAVE THE WORLD BEHIND
Julia Roberts and Myha'la Herrold star in December's thriller Leave the World Behind. The story follows a white family whose Airbnb vacation goes awry when the property’s Black owners come home saying that there’s been a blackout in the city. This jam-packed thriller will deliver a message and potentially a boob or two.
REBEL MOON
I am excited about this film. Zack Snyder has been directing superhero and horror films, but now he is directing a project that he has been wanting to do since he started filmmaking. This film will be released on Netflix and promises to be an updated, intergalactic David vs. Goliath story.
The cast is also out-of-this-world which means we might see Jena Malone, Sofia Boutella, and Cleopatra Coleman in the nude. Let's see some full moons, ladies!
THE COLOR PURPLE
Finally, there is a remake of The Color Purple coming to Netflix on Christmas Day. It's actually not a remake. It's an adaptation of the Broadway musical and it will star Taraji P. Henson and The Little Mermaid herself Halle Bailey.
