The House Sitter (2015)

The House Sitter (2015) is a horror film written by screenwriter Marcy Holland about a couple named Kyle and Sara who come back home early from their yearly holiday at a lake house. While they were away, they hired a pretty young housesitter named Rebecca who is now in a predicament because she does not have a place to stay in between this gig and her next job. And now the family is home early! Sara and Kyle take pity on her situation and let her stay with them for a few days. Rebecca proves herself to be a great houseguest who also helps around the house a little bit. The twist? While the family was away on vacation, this housesitter went through all of their things. She knows their secrets and she uses this against them! She tells the parents that their teen daughter is abusing pills and the teen daughter in turn does not trust the housesitter whom she suspects of having ulterior motives. She's right, of course, otherwise, this wouldn't be a horror movie. The housesitter is not who she says she is and she intends on turning everyone in this family against each other. Kate Ashfield plays the wife Sara who enters the living room to hang with her hubby while wearing a very low-cut white dress.
