Shifting back and forth between the early 1920’s Ottoman Jerusalem and the late 1930’s British Mandate Palestine, this Israeli series based on Sharit Yishai-Levi’s best-selling novel centers on a well-to-do Sephardi family made up of matriarch Merkada Ermoza (Irit Kaplan), her son Gabriel (Michael Aloni), and her daughters Rochelita (Eli Steen) and Luna (Swell Ariel Or). It covers the basic themes of your typical soapy melodrama: forbidden love, rebellious teens, betrayal, etc., with the sexy Swell playing the titular knockout. Sadly, her tit-ulars stay covered in multiple sizzling scenes bumping bellies in bed with Israel Ogalbo. This beauty queen will still make your pants Swell though!
