Sinbad of the Seven Seas (1989)

Review

Reminiscent of The Princess Bride, this late 80s fantasy adventure starts off with a bedtime story, read by a mother to her young daughter about the great adventurer Sinbad (played by the original Incredible Hulk himself, Lou Ferrigno). He and his crew have returned home to Basra, where the Caliph’s evil vizier Jaffar (John Steiner) has taken control of the city. He’s also holding the beautiful Princess Alina (Alessandra Martines) captive until she agrees to marry him, but since it’s not looking like she will change her mind, he’s building a brainwashing machine to change it for her. Sinbad and company are immediately captured upon arriving, but Sinbad escapes, rescues his friends, including the Princess’s true love Prince Ali (Roland Wybenga) , and sets off to retrieve some gems, defeat a variety of baddies, and save the day. Melonee Rodgers struts around as the seductive enchantress Queen Farida, leaving little to the imagination with her Amazonian garb, while Teagan Clive plays an evil sorceress in leather, looking like she wandered off the set of Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome and in front of these cameras instead. We just wish we got a better look at her Sea-cups!
