This actress and singer born in New York and raised in Richmond, Virginia, studied at the American Musical and Dramatic Academy, ultimately making her home in Hollywood to pursue her dream, a career of performing. After appearing in a few plays in Los Angeles, she started popping up in short films in 2010. While some may recognize Shoniqua as the titular lead in the 2014 drama Zola Jumped In or the 2018 comedies Miss Arizona and Sierra Burgess Is A Loser, it might surprise people to know she was also the voice of Sunstone on the popular Cartoon Network series Steven Universe. Shoniqua’s biggest and sexiest role to date, however, is that of Angie Wilson on the Paramount+ series Harlem.
