Horror remakes are like pubes: there are so many variations on the basic idea that no matter what your taste, there's bound to be something you like. Some are faithful to the point of obsession, like Gus Van Sant's 1998 remake of Psycho, which recreates the Alfred Hitchcock classic shot for shot. Some take certain liberties with the story, like 2009's My Bloody Valentine 3D, which takes the nudity-free original and adds a full 90 seconds of full frontal from Betsy Rue.

Both versions of revenge shocker I Spit on Your Grave can be difficult to watch, but you have to admire the ballsy performances of the lead actresses, like this ass-for-ass remake of Camille Keaton's bloody walk of shame by Sarah Butler. Watch the playlist

Rob Zombie takes his horror very seriously, so he had Kristina Klebe recreate P.J. Soles's topless demise at the hands of a ghostly Michael Myers for his 2007 Halloween remake. Not quite shot for shot, but close (and nude) enough. Watch the playlist

The team behind the 2009 Friday the 13th remake took a freeer approach to adaptation, both by combining the first two Friday the 13th movies into one and by freeing the female leads from their tops- the remake has six more topless scenes than the original. Watch the playlist
