Parts: The Clonus Horror (1979)

Robert S. Fiveson’s sci-fi thriller Parts: The Clonus Horror (1979) has been immortalized on Mystery Science Theatre 3000, but when viewed without smart-aleck commentary it’s a suspenseful look at a future where Big Brother and multinational corporations are in terrifying cahoots. When a cloned human (Tim Donnelly) discovers that the world he inhabits is artificial, he attempts to overthrow the ruling order in hopes of living a more authentic life. The jury’s out on whether Donnelly’s co-star Paulette Breen is human or clone, but with curves like the ones she shows off in one dimly lit scene, it’s a moot point.
