Highbrow meets lowbrow this week on DVD and Blu-ray: First we stop by the art house, where Michelle Williams shines (and her buxom body double strips) in My Week with Marilyn (2011) and a full-frontal Kirsten Dunst mopes in Melancholia (2011). Then it's off to the frat house, where you can feast your eyes on Shannon Elizabeth, Lisa Arturo, Denise Faye, and more as the first three American Pie movies hit Blu-ray.
Plus, British beauties go bare in Killer's Moon (1978) and Virgin Witch (1971), part of Redemption's Euro-sleaze series on DVD and Blu-ray.
Legendary sex goddess Marilyn Monroe (Michelle Williams) reveals her soft side (and front) in the biographical drama My Week with Marilyn (2011). In 1956, Colin Clark (Eddie Redmayne) is working as an assistant on the set of The Prince and the Showgirl, starring a freshly married Marilyn Monroe. When Marilyn's playwright husband leaves the country, Colin gets a chance to spend some alone time with the screen siren and show her around the British countryside. He believes he's made a love connection with the cinema legend, but the "real Marilyn" proves to be elusive. Michelle's' voluptuous body double Emma Glover brings Marilyn’s mythical mams to the screen at the 32-minute mark, and at 1-hour 5 minutes she strips down to show her creamy can for a skinny dip. Forget blondes, real gentlemen prefer Nudes!
Melancholia (2011) is the newest film from Danish provocateur Lars von Trier, who bills it as “a beautiful 
movie about the end of the world.” Kirsten Dunst stars as Justine, a bride celebrating her wedding to Michael (Alexander Skarsgard) at the palatial country estate of her sister Claire (Charlotte Gainsbourg) and brother-in-law John (Kiefer Sutherland). As the supposedly happy day wears on, it becomes clear that Justine suffers from a crippling depression that is tearing the family apart. Meanwhile a mysterious red star is growing brighter and brighter in the sky, and as everyone realizes the scope of their impending doom, the laws of psychology and physics begin to bend under its fearsome force. Fresh off of her nude debut in All Good Things (2010), Kirsten Dunst flashes full frontal for a faraway scene lying nude on a rock, and bares her full moons bending over a bathtub. It’s the end of the world as we know it- but as long as Kirsten’s naked, Mr. Skin feels fine.
Here it is, the end-of-the-’90s teen romp that spawned a million imitators and forever altered the popular perception of band camp and the many uses of cooling pastry. The plot of American Pie (1999) is classic teen sex comedy fodder: A group of high-school seniors takes a vow, with everyone pledging to lose his virginity by graduation. Sex ensues, and never more hilariously than when geeky hero Jason Biggs samples the warm apple concoction of the titleonly not with his mouth. Fast-forward to the 44 minute mark, where Shannon Elizabeth matriculated into our hearts as foreign exchange student Nadia. She strips down to seduce Biggs and, somehow, fails. Just like in real life, eh?
Our favorite high-school virgins and no-longer virgins return after a year away at college for a big summer blowout at the lake in American Pie 2 (2001). Stifler gets pissed on, literally, Jim gets some brass up his ass at band camp, and Finch continues his quest for tantric heaven with Stifler’s mom. And, oui, Shannon 
Elizabeth returns too--but with her clothes on! Damn that no-nudity clause! Lisa Arturo and Denise Faye cavort as bisexual lovers and get the boys to show them exactly what they want to see in one of this sequel's gut-busting moments. Shannon Elizabeth, Tara Reid, and Mena Suvari should have followed their example and supplied us with even more zipper-busting action.
There is nothing quite like a great cinematic trilogy to inspire and encourage the best in us as humans. In American Wedding (2003), subtitled American Pie 3: Piece of the Pie, everyman putz Jason Biggs is the same sperm-addled chump he was when he resorted to spilling his seed within the warm, juicy entrails of a freshly baked piece of pastry in the original Pie (1999) film. His dad remains the hysterically inappropriate klutz Eugene Levy. Jason's character has not become any more handsome, suave, or rich. And yet he is set to tie a few knots in kinky wedded bliss with bite-worthy redhead Alyson Hannigan. Does this fact not inspire and encourage the rest of us? Put your hands up as arresting blonde Nikki Schieler Ziering goes glands up while making a big bust as D-cup cop Officer Krystal, who along with blonde dictator Fraulien Brandi (Amanda Swisten) provides the bachelor-party SKINtertainment.
The disturbing British horror shocker Killer's Moon (1978) concerns a quartet of psychotic killers undergoing experimental therapy in which they act out their murderous impulses in their dreams. Trouble occurs when the four baddies bust out of their holding facility and come across a busload of stranded schoolgirlsand the wackos think they’re still dreaming, which gives them carte blanche to go berserk. Watch for Jane Hayden’s naked parts as the bodies pile up.
Alternately titled Lesbian Twins, the British grindhouse feature Virgin Witch (1971) has managed to amass a cult following thanks to its surfeit of skin (and a modicum of horror). An occult examination of sisterhood, Ray Austin’s filmloosely based on a book by Klaus Vogelstars real-life sisters Ann and Vicki Michelle as aspiring models who are given their first big break by agency diva Patricia Haines. The girls show up at a remote highlands castle to strip and be photographed but end up participating in a sinister coven’s gathering. Austin’s film is infamous for the copious amount of skin time it affords its three leadsthere’s an incredible amount of nudity to go around. Patty and Vicki aren’t shy, but it’s Ann who hogs the limelight in more than half-a-dozen lengthy exposures.
