In theaters this week you can see Kristen Stewart's nude debut on the silver screen thanks to a limited release of On the Road (2012). Also opening is Judd Apatow’s skintroversial sequel to Knocked Up, This is 40 (2012), featuring Leslie Mann’s naked knockers with the possibility of CGI nipples. Finally, Naomi Watts endures a natural disaster in The Impossible (2012), but seeing her nips is anything but impossible since they flash onscreen in three scenes.

ON the Road

Jack Kerouac's Beat classic has inspired many things over the years, not the least of which is pretentious college undergrads who assume you'd love nothing more than to listen to them talk about poetry for three hours. Luckily Walter Salles, director of the "they're just now making that?" film adaptation of On the Road (2012), sweetens the pot with celebrity skin from no less than the likes of Alice Braga, who goes topless 32 minutes in, Kirsten Dunst and Amy Adams, who are non-nude but expose their undies, and the long-awaited nude debut of Twilight's Kristen Stewart. Kristen first shows us her baby bongos 3 minutes in, then goes on to demonstrate her skiing prowess in a (sadly non-nude) double handy scene 1 hour, 12 minutes in before going topless one more time at the 1-hour, 18-minute mark. Looks like the Beat Generation just turned into the Beat-Off Generation.

Judd Apatow, Judd Apatow, why hast thou forsaken us? Knocked Up (2007) is one of Mr. Skin's favorite movies of all time (probably because he's featured fairly prominently in the plot), but in its "unofficial sequel" This is 40 (2012) Judd commits one of the cardinal sins of Skin: CGI nudity. You may think those are Leslie Mann's boobs at the doctor's office 30 minutes in and at the 1 hour, 19 minute mark as she steps out of the bathroom to join her husband in bed, but you would be wrong. Those, friends, are nothing but rows of pixels. You can take comfort, however, in the fact that those are Megan Fox's boobs straining against her bra 52 minutes in and her bikini 1 hour, 39 minutes in, and they're as breathtaking as ever.

Remember the tsunami of 2004? If the myriad of other tragedies the world has suffered since has washed away (too soon?) your memory, then get a refresher course with the disaster drama The Impossible (2012). Naomi Watts and Ewan McGregor star as Maria and Henry, British tourists who have the misfortune of being on vacation in Thailand when a tsunami hits on December 26, 2004. In the aftermath, a badly injured Maria and the couple's oldest son Lucas (Tom Holland) are separated from Henry and their other two children. Now amid the chaos, the family must attempt to find each other. Not exactly a feel-good story, but Mr. Skin Hall-of-Famer Naomi will turn that frown upside down when she goes topless on the beach and in the hospital.
