Have you ever actually said, out loud or to yourself, "Strippers--they ain't what they used to be?" Then you're going to love Merry Maids of the Gay Way (1954), which despite its title features a cornucopia of fleshy feminine delights for heterosexual men to feast their eyes upon. Note that this is "burlesque", which is show business speak for "strippers who wear pasties," so unless you're really, really into the art of the tease Merry Maids is interesting mostly as a historical curio. But star Zabuda's incredible figure stands the test of time. She might be from the Gay Way, but she'll straighten you right out...in your pants.
