Born in Bogotá, Colombia to an art critic, journalist, and poet mother and an architect father, Manuela was privileged enough to study abroad in Liceo, France and finish high school in California. She had originally intended to return to Colombia to follow in her mother’s footsteps and study journalism, but she ended up switching to drama and pursuing acting instead.
