The daughter of South African actor and singer Blonde Makhene, Letoya first rose to fame herself as the host of the reality competition series Idols South Africa from 2002 to 2003. Her own time in the music industry includes working with artists like Brenda Fassie, DJ Cleo, DJ Qness, and DJ Chynaman, but she actually trained to be a traditional South African healer before switching gears and ultimately pursuing and acting career. She’s appeared on the popular soap opera Generations: The Legacy as well as the 2017 crime film Harry’s Game.
