Kristen Stewart was given a profile in Rolling Stone which was a wild inside look at the actress. We learned how strong, fierce, and outspoken the seemingly quiet Kristen Stewart is. Honestly, this article was a celebration of how strong and gay Stewart is. Stewart took the journalist with her to a boxing session, to beers, and a pool hall for a game of pool. I mean, how cool is that? Stewart always seems to be aloof onscreen, but this profile made her sound like a fun hang.
Stewart is promoting the film Love Lies Bleeding which was a hit at Sundance this year. The film comes to us from the director of Saint Maud which was written and directed by Rose Glass. It was a trippy psychological horror film about a young lady, played by Morfydd Clark, who is a religious zealot.
This new film from Rose Glass is very different! It's a muscular romance - literally. A trainer at a gym in the Southwest falls in love with a bodybuilder who uses steroids. The film is going to be released in theaters on March 8 and it sounds like something that I want to be in the front row of the theater for, especially when you know that Kristen is playing opposite Katy O'Brian. The pair are our fit lovers whom we already know have nude scenes together.
Kristen is very proud of being an openly gay movie star. As she says, "There aren't that many openly gay movie stars" and she is happy to play gay roles that aren't a coming out story. As the writer of the article puts it, Kristen would rather do films in which "the queerness was less a plot point than a vibe".
She went on to talk about her masculine energy and her gay identity by saying, “I never have felt like I have performed a femininity in order to reap its benefits in a way that felt like a lie. I’m very fluid, and I’ve never felt like, ‘Oh, wow, I was doing this lie for a long time in order to get jobs.’ That would be wrong. I have had a good time playing with all of the tonal qualities. But there’s so much room for success when you choose the girlie one. There’s no room for this other one.”
However, she feels is good for me! She looks sexy whether she is an ultra-feminine icon like Princess Diana or Jean Seaberg or if she is playing a butch 80s lesbian like she is about to in Love Lies Bleeding.
She went on to celebrate her openly gay status saying, “Now, I want to do the gayest fucking thing you’ve ever seen in your life. If I could grow a little mustache, if I could grow a fucking happy trail and unbutton my pants, I would. Guys — I’m sorry — but their fucking pubes are shoved in my face constantly, and I’m like, ‘Ummmm, bring it in.’” Wait, does this mean that she is going to show us her pubes? I'll take a hairy K-Stew if she wants to go nude.
