Icelandic actress Gudrún Yr Eyfjörd hails from Reykjavik where she was born and raised as an Icelandic artist. She is an actress, sure, but she is most well known for being incredibly successful at something else. She is actually a pop star, known mostly by her pop star name GDRN, and she has won several awards for her albums and singles. She won four awards at the 2018 Icelandic Music Awards - did you know that was a thing? - and then she was also nominated for awards at the 2018 Nordic Music Prize. She is definitely our Nordic prize for all of her amazing work! She writes her own music, including the lyrics, and has been doing this ever since she was in college. She started dabbling in acting in 2019 when she joined the National Theatre of Iceland's musical production of Shakespeare in Love. The dark-haired beauty made her acting debut in 2021 and she was so good that we could not believe that this was her first time acting. She is the star of the series Katla (2020) which is about a town that gets devastated by the aftermath of a violent volcanic eruption. She shows off her breasts in multiple nude scenes including one where she splashes her face and chest with water in the bath. In another scene, we watch her cool off in her bathing suit, and in an entirely different scene, she is topless in the dark with her domes crusted in mud and ash. We still sing her praises!
