For today's Foreign Film Friday, we are heading to France. Viva la France and their stance on no pants! I wanted to take a look at a 1992 film that was filled with sex and eroticism. Let's take a look at the foxy French fun bags in Betty.
Claude Chabrol directed this film from 1992 that starred Marie Trintignant as Betty who wanders bars at night in the city because her life absolutely fell apart. She was caught having an affair, so her husband tossed her out and her wealthy in-laws forced a divorce settlement on her in which they added a stipulation that she couldn't see her two kids. So, naturally, Betty is not having a good time. Luckily, she looks really good even though she falls into a drunken stupor.
The Parisian pretty face is in a very bad drunk way one night and then helped by a nice man who drives her to a restaurant where she links up with a middle-aged woman from Laure who has a drinking problem. Laure hangs out at the restaurant because she is the owner's lover. Will they become lovers? No, but they do become fast friends.
Laure is fascinated by Betty and helps her out for a few days which is when Betty opens up to her and tells Laure all about her unhappy marriage as well as her adventures in promiscuity that she used to engage in. That is when we see her many sexy scenes!
