Emily Hahn was a journalist and writer who was born in St. Louis, Missouri in 1905. She was featured in the Shanghai section of the documentary Legendary Sin Cities (2005), because of her involvement with Sir Victor Sassoon, a prominent banker of the era. During this time she supported herself by writing for the magazine The New Yorker. She was also very promiscuous with a number of other suitors, including a Chinese poet and a British army official. In the documentary we get to see some of her more revealing personal photoshoots that are still around to this day. Good captures of her bare rack flash across the screen for our viewing pleasure. Many of these incidents are recorded in her published books, which number at more than 50. She lived to be 92 years old, passing on in 1997.
