Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. (2021-2023)

If there's one thing Disney loves more than anything else, it's capitalizing on people's nostalgia for long dormant properties from the 80s and 90s. From Adventures in Babysitting to Boy Meets World, there's nearly nothing Disney won't reboot or repackage for the current crop of tweens watching their channel and streaming service. In the late summer of 2021, Disney+ unleashed Doogie Kamealoha, M.D. on the world, a reboot of the series Doogie Howser, M.D. whose entire conceit is that it exists in a world where that classic television show also existed. Over achieving Hawaiian teenager Lahela Kamealoha (Peyton Elizabeth Lee) is a child of two worlds, with a mother (Kathleen Rose Perkins) who is the chief of medicine at the local hospital and a father (Jason Scott Lee) living the beach bum life as a surf instructor. The 16 year old Lahela is not only attending high school, she's also trying to get her career as a medical professional off the ground by working at her mother's hospital where the staff and fellow doctors have dubbed her "Doogie" after the popular television show from the 90s with a premise similar to her real life. Since this is a Disney program aimed at tweens and teens, you can't go in expecting there's going to be a ton of skin. There are a good number of scenes set at the beach, however, which is a bonus of it both filming and taking place in Hawaii, and anyone looking for sexy bikini shots of Kathleen Rose Perkins is sure to get their fill here.
