Carolee Schneemann Nude

Born in Fox Chase, Pennsylvania in 1939, artist, actress, and director Carolee Schneemann has been active in the art and film world since the late 1950s. While she started as a painter, she moved into the film world by directing and starring in the short film Meat Joy (1964), which she quickly followed up with the shorts Fuses (1967) and Body Collage (1967). While it seemed like she'd left filmmaking behind in the 70s, she came back with the recent documentary Infinity Kisses: The Movie (2009).
