Allison Argo went from making horny dudes go ape on the big screen by showing her tatas, to showing the world how terrible it is to keep gorillas and elephants in captivity. How's that for a career? Born to a pair of stage actors who owned a summer stock theater on Cape Cod, after doing some theater work of her own Allison started her TV career with a role on the one-time hit series Search for Tomorrow, but was far more memorable on the big screen as a topless dancer in the 1977 film Between the Lines. We'd like to be between Allison's thighs watching her parade around in a thong, only occasionally hiding her bosoms behind a blanket. Allison headed back to TV, where she landed the recurring role of Susan on Ladies' Man, a short lived sitcom about a male journalist working at a women's magazine. Forgettable movies like Cry From the Mountain (1985) and a decent run as Robin West on The Bold and the Beautiful followed, until Allison ditched acting in 1991. Having witnessed a gorilla stuck in a far too small cage in 1991, Allison gave up her acting dreams and made The Urban Gorilla (1991), a documentary about gorillas stuck in small cages in various city zoos, circuses and even as expensive pets. From that point on, Allison devoted her life to writing, directing and producing documentaries about stuff like elephants being kept in captivity, the King Cobra, Inca Mummies, parrots and those impacted by the September 11th attacks. We wish she'd have kept documenting her naked body, but she is cool with trying to help the animals. You go Allison Argo!
