A performer from all the way back in her youth growing up in Virginia and attending the Governor's School for the Arts, this Broadway babe toured with groups The Dream Engine and Trans Siberian Orchestra before arriving on the Great White Way. Adrienne made her Broadway debut in the musical version of Bring It On in 2012, and would star in Shuffle Along, or the Making of the Musical Sensation of 1921 and All That Followed before finally nabbing a Tony Award for her portrayal of Tina Turner in the musical Tina in 2021. She’d appear on both the big and small screens when not soaking up the spotlight on stage, starting with and episode of the CBS series Blue Bloods (2013), then showing up on Orange is the New Black (2013), Royal Pains (2016), Quantico (2017), and the 2020 recording of The Nightmare Before Christmas in Concert. In 2022, she played Emmett Till’s mother, Mamie-Till Mobley in the Hulu drama series Women of the Movement and in 2023 she returned to the streamer after her featured roles in the acclaimed films The Woman King and Rustin to star in the series Black Cake, as the daughter of a woman who’s mysterious past comes to light after her death. Adrienne is seen in bed with Cherrelle Skeete in the third episode, and the two share some sensually sapphic smooches while smoking a joint and discussing their plans for the day. Our plan is to keep our eyes out for when this talented triple threat makes her nudecomer debut!
